Marcella Clark
Marcella Clark grew up near Chicago in a family with an entrepreneurial spirit and the confidence to succeed in life. As owner of The Body Center, Marcella is pursuing a dream of bringing holistic health to the Holland area on a grand scale. She is a certified medical massage therapist, colon hydro-therapist, Rossiter coach, Yamuna ball rolling instructor and yoga enthusiast. Her positive energy toward people and good health is contagious!
Marcella’s traditional education and experience includes an Accounting degree from Western Michigan University, CPA designation, certification as a residential appraiser and several executive positions. Her path to holistic health began in the 1980’s when she found herself suffering from corporate burn-out. Marcella moved from Chicago to California to re-group and re-evaluate her profession and there discovered two incredible passions: health care and her husband Dave with whom she has four awesome children.
When Marcella and Dave located to Holland, Marcella pursued holistic health with full-steam, graduating from the Michigan Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Applied Science in 2006, and the International School of Colon Hydro-therapy in Juno, Florida in 2007. Marcella’s focus on colon cleansing for health came after she spent many years consulting professionals about her own gastro-intestinal issues and found her own greatest healing through colon hydro-therapy. Marcella has passed certification levels I/II for colon hydro-therapy and is continuing her levels of certification to be able to teach the modality one day in the future.
In addition to her extensive list of expert treatment offerings, Marcella is the only massage therapist along the lakeshore to offer Ahh-Shiatsu massage – an ancient form of deep tissue massage where she walks expertly on clients’ backs while holding on to bars overhead.
